WHAT IS A BRAIN INJURY?

An injury to the brain caused by a blow to the head; penetration of the skull caused by an accident.

The injury may disrupt functioning in a single area of the brain (focal damage) or impact multiple areas of brain functioning (diffuse or damage). Adverse effects could be short term or lifelong.


Dr. Newman has worked with neuropsychiatrists, neuropsychologists, and other health professionals and has a great deal of experience with screening, evaluation and neuropsychological evaluation of both children and adults with traumatic brain injury. He has experience in both physical trauma and Post Traumatic Brain Injury.
